Recommend Board approval of Olivia Slaweski, pending receipt of a positive criminal history background check, as Secretary 10-Mo “B” at GHS for the 2025-2026 school year, Step 2, at an annual prorated salary of $31,130.00 and Secretary-64 Credits in the amount of $500.00, pending settlement of the GEA Agreement, effective November 3, 2025. Recommend Board ratify the following Thomas E. Some events are scheduled during school hours for which no hourly rate will be paid to the staff members. 2. Paraprofessional Extracurricular Compensation
Recommend Board approval to compensate District Paraprofessional staff members, at their hourly rate, who provide 1:1 or shared support as outlined in student IEP’s at extracurricular events, cost not to exceed $15,000.00 for the 2025-2026 school year.
3. Title III-Additional Hours
Recommend Board approval to ratify the following staff members to be compensated for time outside of their contractual hours to attend faculty meetings and PLCs each month. Due to scheduling of ESL classes and teachers taking on teaching roles in multiple buildings, two teachers will have 30 minutes between when their contractual day ends and the start of faculty meetings/PLCs each month. They will be compensated at the current rate of $42.00 per hour pending settlement of the GEA contract, funded through Title III funds.

4. Staff Coverage-GHS

5. CST Social Work Intern Stipend
Recommend Board ratify a stipend for CST Social Work Intern, Yoosuf Byrd, at the rate of $500.00 per semester (Fall/Spring) for the 2025-2026 school year as per the attached Job Description. This stipend both encourages applicants for internships within the Glassboro School District and allows providing additional mental health resources for our students that require additional interventions. 9. Summer Employment-School Nurse-Rodgers
Recommend Board ratify Patricia Scappa, School Nurse, at J. Harvey Rodgers School, an additional 10 hours of 2025 summer employment at per diem rate, pending settlement of the GEA Agreement, to review Preschool and Kindergarten medical files prior to the start of the 2025-2026 school year. 10. SEPAG Presentations
Recommend Board approval for the following staff members to provide Special Education Parent Advisory Group (SEPAG) requested parent presentations on early literacy, structures and routines during breaks, increasing communication at home and learning throughout the summer as a family, at the rate of $42.00 per hour, pending settlement of the GEA Agreement, not to exceed $840.00. 2. New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission Resolution
Recommend Board ratify the following New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission Resolution.
WHEREAS, the Glassboro Board of Education acknowledges that from time to time, paperwork concerning its motor vehicles must be completed and delivered in person to the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission ("NJMVC"); and
WHEREAS, the Board desires to appoint the Business Administrator, the Assistant Transportation Supervisor, Business Office Secretary, and the Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds as its authorized representatives to complete, sign and deliver paperwork regarding District vehicles on behalf of the Glassboro Board of Education to the NJMVC, for the period of July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Glassboro Board of Education resolves to appoint the Business Administrator, the Assistant Transportation Supervisor, Business Office Secretary, and the Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds as its authorized representatives, for the completion and delivery of any necessary paperwork regarding District vehicles to the NJMVC.
3. GPSD Safety Programs
Recommend Board approval of the Electrical Safety Program, Hazard Communication Standard, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Program, and Mold Manage-ment Plan for Glassboro Public Schools, as attached, in accordance with OSHA/PEOSHA requirements. These programs are designed to ensure the health and safety of all staff and students by meeting or exceeding regulatory standards established by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the Public Employees Occupational Safety and Health Adminis-tration (PEOSHA). Approval of these plans supports ongoing compliance with state and federal safety regulations and demonstrates the district’s commitment to maintaining a safe learning and working environment. Recommend Board approval of the Corrective Action Plan for the fiscal year June 30, 2024 for the School Food Service Fund. Net cash resources exceeded three months’ average expenditures by $286,156.60.

6. Gloucester County Vocational-Technical School District Tuition Agreement

7. NJSBA Workshop 2025
Recommend Board approval for reimbursement for the following staff and Board members to attend the New Jersey School Boards Workshop 2025 at the Atlantic City Convention Center, October 20–23, 2025. a. Transitional Coach Program Grant
Recommend Board approval for Thomas E. Bowe Middle School to apply for a grant with the Transitional Coach Program. This program is a child leadership support program that places trained, licensed mental and behavioral Health professionals on school campuses to initiate a support system designed to promote child academic and behavioral success. Transitional Coaches will challenge students to focus on academic, social, mental, emotional and behavioral goals during weekly sessions. Students involved in the program have a record of improving attendance, peer and family relationships, and passing their classes. The program is supported by/funded through Medicaid health insurance companies’ grant and comes at no cost to the district. The only district obligation is to provide space and a computer for the clinician(s) working with Glassboro students. The program covers all co-pays and any attached fees making behavior, academic, mental and emotional health supports more accessible than ever.

1. Pilot ELA ESL Program-Bowe MS
Recommend Board approval for Vista Learning Bridges and Get Ready curriculum for newcomer multilingual learners and those who score within level 1 and 2 on the WIDA ACCESS assessment in the spring of the previous school year at the Thomas E. Bowe Middle School. This program will be piloted by ESL teacher, Madeline Horner, with students in grades 6-8. Bridges is a standards-based literacy designed to empower middle school multilingual learners, to develop academic language and literacy skills through authentic texts and content-driven lessons, helping all students achieve grade-level proficiency. Get Ready is a comprehensive standards-based program designed for middle and high school newcomer multilingual learners. It engages students with age-appropriate communicative presentations, plus literary and informational lessons across content areas. This edition adds flexibility for teachers, including a new online Foundational Skills Unit aligned with the Science of Reading, and expanded decodable and content-based readings. The Assess to Learn system allows teachers to track progress, identify skill gaps, and personalize instruction within both programs. Cost to be funded through Title III funds.

3. Guest Speaker-GHS/Bowe MS
Recommend Board approval for Erin Pompa, Speaker/Coach, to speak to select students at both GHS and Bowe MS. Participants will be nominated by staff. Ms. Pompa has dedicated over 20 years to the field of education. Her experience in the arts, education, performance, and curriculum design uniquely positions her to deliver impactful and inspirational presentations to youth. Her focus areas include mental health awareness, substance abuse prevention, and leadership development. Beyond her work in schools, Erin is a sought after speaker at youth conferences, colleges, and dance studios. This assembly is being sponsored by Youth Services at no charge.
