Recommend Board ratify of the following staff members to be trained in Handle With Care physical restraint techniques as required by District Policy 5561, effective July 27, 2026. This policy required identified staff to be trained yearly in deescalation and restraint techniques. Training during the summer reduces the time staff is out of the classroom and the number of substitutes needed to complete the training sessions.

12. Title I Basic Skills ESD Program
Recommend Board approval of the Title I Basic Skills Extended School Day (ESD) Program at Glassboro High School and Thomas E. Bowe Middle School for the 2026–2027 school year. The program will be staffed by certificated staff members who will be compensated at the contractual hourly rate of $45.00 for one hour of instruction per tutoring session. The program will provide targeted academic support to address learning needs and learning loss across academic content areas for students requiring remediation or additional assistance. Students will receive targeted interventions aligned to their individual academic needs. The program at each building (Glassboro High School and Thomas E. Bowe Middle School) will not exceed 350 total instructional hours per building. Each building is allocated a maximum of $15,750.00 in instructional salaries and $1,205.00 in FICA costs, for a combined maximum of $33,910.00 across both buildings. Funding will be provided through Title I funds.
13. Mitcho Early Childhood Center Stipends
a. Recommend Board ratify Elizabeth Gomez to receive the Mitcho Early Childhood Learning Center Administrative Assistant Services stipend of $5,000.00 for the 2026-2027 school year. This stipend shall be paid in equal installments through the Board’s regular payroll process, beginning on July 1, 2026 and ending on June 30, 2027.
b. Recommend Board ratify Patricia Scappa to receive the Mitcho Early Childhood Learning Center Nursing Services stipend of $5,000.00 for the 2026-2027 school year. This stipend shall be paid in equal installments through the Board’s regular payroll process, beginning on September 1, 2026 and ending on June 30, 2027.

17. Fundations Curriculum Writing
Recommend Board approval for Nicole Werner-Pidgeon, Literacy Coach, to develop and finalize Fundations curriculum pacing guides and scope and sequence documents for Grades K–5 outside of contractual hours. Ms. Werner-Pidgeon will be compensated at the contractual hourly rate of $45.00 per hour, not to exceed 25 total hours, funded through Title II. The completed documents will support consistent implementation of Fundations across grade levels and alignment of instructional pacing, skills, and expectations throughout the district.
18. 2026-2027 Translation Services
Recommend Board approval for the following staff members to receive a biannual stipend to be paid in December and June, up to $500.00, to be paid through Title III funds for translation services pending receipt of their service log. With the influx of Multilingual Learners entering the district, the need for translation services has increased. The staff members will be utilized to translate items such as documents prior to distributing to parents, communications over the phone, communication during conferences and meetings, at school events such as back-to-school nights and family nights, other events/documentation as needed that may arise during the year that require translation. Staff members will log their services and submit documentation in December and June. The proration of the stipend will depend on the number of contact hours logged.

2) Recommend Board ratify Rowan University student, Shawn McKellick, to do HPE Field Placement with Elizabeth Conley at J. Harvey Rodgers School and/or Arielle Marshall at Glassboro High School on September 17, 24, October 1, 8, 15, 22, December 15 and 17, 2026. The Rowan course instructor (Maria Lepore-Stevens) will be joining the class on visits to the district. The student is required to do ten hours.
b. Rowan University-Psychology Internship
Recommend Board approval Rowan University School Psychology student, Brianna Albrecht Graessle, for an Internship with Nasya Alpheaus and Smriti Keating at Glassboro High School, pending receipt of a positive criminal history background check, from September 22, 2026 to June 10, 2027.
c. Rutgers University-Field Experience
Recommend Board approval of Rutgers University student, Nisupa Hettiwatta, to do Clinical Field Experience with Saadiqa Smart Pierre at Thomas E. Bowe Middle School from September 24, 2026 to December 22, 2025, pending receipt of TB results and a positive criminal history background check. Student is required to complete 20 hours.

1. LDTC Contracted Services
Recommend Board approval of Tamar Shelov for LDTC contracted services at the rate of $350.00 per evaluation and $40.00 per meeting, not to exceed $25,000.00 for the 2026-2027 school year. NJ Code requires LDTC participation in initial settings and for evaluation. Ms. Shelov will complete these services for the Secondary Child Study Team.
2. Jump Ahead Pediatrics-Tuition Student
Recommend Board approval of Jump Ahead Pediatrics to provide 6 hours of services Monday through Friday in the District for a tuition student, with supervision visits periodically, during the 2026-2027 school year. This is a provision that is at no cost to the District. Student will receive daily support to the student.
3. Starlight Homecare Agency
Recommend Board ratify contracting with Starlight Homecare Agency to provide nursing services on an as-needed basis during the school day and/or during transportation for the 2026-2027 school year, effective July 1, 2026. Rates are $70.00 per hour for RN and $60.00 per hour for LPN.

1. GPSD Media Request Form
Recommend Board approval of the Glassboro Public School District Athletic Media Request Form. This form will aid in organizing and discerning media requests that come through the athletic office. As success in our athletics has increased, the demand for media has also increased. Protocols are necessary to be put in place in order to manage the demand. (attachment)
2. GPSD Athletic Transcript Request Form
Recommend Board approval of the Glassboro Public School District Athletic Transcript Form. This form gives the District permission to send requested academic records to a post-secondary program as well as to the NCAA Eligibility Center. This release also gives the District authority to upload an official transcript to the student’s Eligibility Center account. As success in our athletics has increased, the demand for transcripts and the need to upload transcripts into the NCAA Eligibility Center as also increased. Protocols are necessary to be put in place in order to manage the demand. (attachment)

1. Tier II Volunteers-WINGS
Recommend Board approval of the following Tier II volunteers at Dorothy L. Bullock School for grade-level enrichment, pending receipt of a positive criminal history background check. The volunteers are members of WINGS (Women Inspiring a New Generation of Scientists), a club at Rowan University. Their mission is to support and inspire future generations of scientists through outreach. They will meet with students for one hour for one day a month for the 2026-2027 school year. They will be under the supervision of the classroom teacher.

2. Chronic Absenteeism Caps & Corrective Action Plans
Recommend Board approval of the building-level Chronic Absenteeism Corrective Action Plans for the 2026–2027 school year. The district is required to establish building-level chronic absenteeism corrective action plans for schools that exceed the state-established chronic absenteeism threshold. These corrective action plans are incorporated into each school’s Annual School Plan (ASP) and outline strategies and interventions to address chronic absenteeism, improve student attendance, and monitor progress throughout the school year.
