WHEREAS The matters to be discussed in Part I of this session are matters listed for private discussion under Section 7, b, (1)-(9) of the New Jersey Open Public Meetings Act, and 
 
WHEREAS The general nature of the subjects to be discussed are listed in the agenda for Part I of this meeting, attached, and

Recommend Board approval to amend the 2020-2021 Assessment Timeline on the District website.  The original timeline has been adjusted, and parents must be informed of these changes. (attachment)
 
D. Special Education/Other Student Issues
 
1. OOD Placement-Student ID #20-A
Recommend Board ratify placement of Student #20-A at Holly Glen Elementary School in Monroe Township, NJ effective September 8, 2020.  Placement is based on McKinney-Vento status.  Cost to the district is $14,410.80. (attachment)
 
2. CLCCP at Rowan University
a. Recommend Board approval for Student ID #20-41868 to utilize the Board Approved College Level Course Credit Program at Rowan University.  The student will be taking Calculus II at the university in the spring of 2021.  The student/parent will be responsible for 1/3 of the cost; Glassboro Board of Education 1/3; and Rowan University 1/3.  The cost to the district is $900.00 per course. b. Recommend Board approval for Student ID #20-42560 to utilize the Board Approved College Level Course Credit Program at Rowan University.  The student will be taking Environmental Science at the university in the spring of 2021.  The student/parent will be responsible for 1/3 of the cost; Glassboro Board of Education 1/3; and Rowan University 1/3.  The cost to the district is $900.00 per course. c. Recommend Board approval for Student ID #20-41438 to utilize the Board Approved College Level Course Credit Program at Rowan University.  The student will be taking Probability Stats at the university in the spring of 2021.  The student/parent will be responsible for 1/3 of the cost; Glassboro Board of Education 1/3; and Rowan University 1/3.  The cost to the district is $900.00 per course. d. Recommend Board approval for Student ID #20-41925 to utilize the Board Approved College Level Course Credit Program at Rowan University.  The student will be taking Abnormal Psych at the university in the spring of 2021.  The student/parent will be responsible for 1/3 of the cost; Glassboro Board of Education 1/3; and Rowan University 1/3.  The cost to the district is $900.00 per course. Recommend Board ratify placement of Student ID #20-09 at Gloucester County Special Services School District effective November 30, 2020.  Cost to the district is $28,224.00. (attachment)

Recommend Board approval of the Alternative Evening High School Student Handbook for the 2020-2021 school year. (attachment)
 
3. Homework Clinic-Bowe
Recommend Board ratify Christina Gennaoui as an additional staff member to facilitate Homework Clinic at Thomas E. Bowe School at the Miscellaneous Pay Rate of $37.00 per hour effective December 2020.  Until returning to a full brick and mortar schedule, homework clinic will be conducted virtually after school hours. 4. BEAM-Biomedical Partnership-Rowan
Recommend Board approval of the attached list of a Rowan Professor and students to participate in virtual interaction with GHS students as part of the Biomedical partnership BEAM: Bioengineering and Me effective January 2021. BEAM is a partnership with Rowan University and Glassboro High School’s Biomedical Academy and Biomedical Co-Curricular Club.  This will replace the name of the current KINDLE Program that has been running since 2016.  The mission is to inspire high school students to attend college and major in the field of Biomedical Engineering.  Undergraduate students, graduate students and professors will work to build community with the high school students to create interactive, informative content to share and encourage students to enter this field.
