1. Translation Services Stipend
Recommend Board ratify the following staff members to receive a biannual stipend up to $500.00 to be paid for translation services in December and June through Title III funds pending receipt of their service log prior to payment. With the influx of English Language Learners entering the district, the need for translation services has increased. The staff members will be utilized to translate documents prior to distributing to parents, communications over the phone and during conferences, at school events such as Back-To-School nights and family nights, other events/documentation that may arise during the year that requires translation. 4. Revised Winter Coach Contract
Recommend Board ratify amending the athletic coaching contract of Eugene Reid as Boys Varsity Basketball Assistant Coach for 2022-2023 from Step 3 in the amount of $5,153.00 to Step 1 in the amount of $3,865.00. (attachment)
5. Saturday School Program
Recommend Board approval of a Saturday School Program as an additional option/consequence to be administered in the effort to encourage students to adhere to the Thomas E. Bowe Middle School and GHS Code of Conduct. The program will be hosted at GHS two Saturdays per month from 8:00 am to 11:00 am. Parents/Guardians will be expected to drop off and pick up students from the program.
This program will require approval of monitors who will be compensated at the hourly rate of $38.11. For each session, the assigned staff member will be expected to work 3 hours and 30 minutes from 7:45 am to 11:15 am. (attachment)
